Ulysse Bonneau
Composer, arranger and musician
A cellist, pianist and composer, Ulysse pursued his musical studies under the guidance of Frantz Wiener, David Louwerse, Diana Ligeti and François Salque. After obtaining a degree in musicology from the Sorbonne, he furthered his studies at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne. He also distinguished himself with his DEM and his title of Laureate of the Concours Général in Music. In 2020, he took part in the Désaccords adventure, initially as a quartet, in Pierre Strauch's class. He had the pleasure of participating in several educational concerts (as part of the Baccalauréat preparation) as well as several festivals (Vacances de Mr Haydn, Musik en Suites...).
He has organised numerous concerts, including one at the Cinémathèque Française where he performed his own film music arrangements. He also appeared in the role of Jakob (Offenbach at age 15) in L'Odyssée d'Offenbach broadcast on Arte in December 2019. He also composed the music for the web series Asteral as well as the short films Acte(s) and Nemesis, all released on YouTube in 2020 and 2021. A lover of contemporary music, he recorded his first album in 2021 for composer Daniel Osorio.
It was in 2018 that he met Perceval after the latter asked him to record for Regarde. Very quickly, they became friends and Ulysse ended up taking care of the group's arrangements.
